Lisa and Rick celebrated their 3rd Anniversary by riding their bikes to Tecate, Mexico for lunch then spent the night in Pine Valley. It was a great getaway weekend.
Crossing the border in Tecate is easy, so much better then TJ.
It’s on 3 blocks to the main square. Next time we’ll park at the border and walk.
Nice little town square
Tacos, the old fashioned way
Why do we have to go to Mexico for good tacos?
Dem’s some good eats!
Tecate has their own beer!
Good, fresh food. Yum.
A lonely musician and his accordian.
Tecate artwork
It was hot, but the kids know how to beat the heat.
If it gets any hotter (or I have a few more beers), I’m jumping in the fountain too.
Tecate town square
Damn, no rooms in Tecate. Gotta find a place to sleep.
Major’s in Pine Valley has good breakfast. Don’t know what to do with the Green Stamps though.
