Lady Bikers of California International Female Ride Day

Babe’s Ride Out, 4/30/17

This annual all-girl’s event happened in Hungry Valley OHV (near Gorman, CA). The event had “no guys allowed” campsites, so we stayed nearby in the toy hauler with Lorena and Danny. We had a great time riding the dirt bikes around the Hungry Valley trails.

New Year’s Eve 2017 Camping

Four brave South Coasters challenged the weather for New Year’s Eve weekend with some camping near Ojai. As it turned out, New Year’s Day was perfect – sunny all day. All had a great time.

3rd Anniversary in Tecate

Lisa and Rick celebrated their 3rd Anniversary by riding their bikes to Tecate, Mexico for lunch then spent the night in Pine Valley. It was a great getaway weekend.

5-Passes Ride 6/10/16

Lisa and Rick rode with the South Coasters for a 3-day, 1200 mile romp over 5 passes in the Sierra mountains. The weather was perfect, until it rained.

49er Rally May 28, 2016

The annual 49er rally in Mariposa, CA was another great event this year. No rain, a little warm but t-shirt weather nights. And lots of fun.

Rick rode to the 49er Rally this year solo because Lisa had to work, but that’s OK because Lisa just got back from the International Female rally in Fresno and Rick couldn’t go, even with all the CA transgender stuff recently.

Here are some videos from the 49er Rally. The first is the English Trials, but they are kid stuff compared to the GS Giants’ competition they had following this over on the hillside, but I didn’t have my camera for that.

The Bier Garten on Saturday night was rockin’!

Mexico 3/16 – Ride to Mazatlan

Lisa and Rick joined the Aztec Riders for a 4-day ride to Mazatlan. Lisa rode her BMW F650 GS and Rick rode his R1200 RT. It was quite an experience riding through Mexico with these hooligans.

It all started with an ancient Aztec blessing for the riders and the bikes.

Mexico 3/16 – Mazatlan

We spent 4 fun days in Mazatlan, and stayed in a beautiful B&B on the shore. One day ride was to a cobblestone-road village where we rode a donkey through town and ate yummy food.

Mexico 3/16 – Baja

After Mazatlan we crossed the Sea of Cortez on a ferry and spent our time riding up the Baja peninsula. We even stayed at the famous Hotel California!

Borrego Springs Camping

The South Coasters annual Borrego Springs campout in the Anza Borrego desert is always a favorite. Lots of wide-open spaces and adventurous hiking. We hiked 5 miles to an oasis! (2/26/16)
