In celebration of our 6th wedding anniversary we spent the day in Avalon. We hiked the Garden to Sky summit to see the other side of the island and the Pacific ocean. It was hot going, but the ice cream afterwards made it all worthwhile. 🙂

Dec ’18 Xmas, Utah & NYE
For Christmas Day we joined Rick’s son in Vegas, with his daughter Sophia, before heading out to Utah for a rural getaway. The Airbnb “boutique barn” on the farm was cozy and Zion was snowy. It was a cool trip. Then back in Vegas for New Year’s Eve was the usual glitzy party down the strip. Overall, a fun way to close out 2018.
Vegas and Calico Ghost Town, May 2017
Lisa had her Birthday in Las Vegas! (Again, since it always coincides with Rick’s annual job convention.) We stayed at the MGM where Rick’s son works, so that was pretty cool. We saw “Vegas! The Show” which we really enjoyed and on the way home got lucky when we stopped in the Calico Ghost town (for the first time), and it was their annual bluegrass festival. Music, gunfights and pig races. What’s not to like?
San Diego for Xmas 2015
Christmas eve we took the train to San Diego and stayed in the Gaslamp Quarter. Christmas day we went to the San Diego Zoo and Balboa park (walked about 20 mils that day). The next day we took the trolley to the Mexican border and then to Old Town. We had a great weekend!
